After being shut-out in their last two of three games and only scoring one goal for over those outings, the Rangers let out a release Sunday night totaling six.
Period one had the looks of another dreadful skate as the Canadians left the first twenty minutes of play up two zip on goals by Cammalleri and Brian Gionta.
It would only take :57-seconds into period two of play for the Rangers to get their legs moving and Mr. Heart and Soul Ryan Callahan would get the Blue shirts within one on a tip-in goal.
The Rangers special teams on the penalty kill would be responsible for their next tally as Callahan would feed Brandon Dubinsky on the shorthand to even the score.
Just 2:36 later the Rangers would have their first lead of the night as Duby's second tally would put his team up for good as he released a blast.
The Rangers would take a 3-2 lead into the third in an important Eastern Conference battle.
Knowing the importance of this big game the Rangers would pick up where they left off in the second and bring more of the same into the third.
Callahan would get his second of the night, Gaborik would end his five game score less drought and finally Chris Dury put up the Rangers sixth goal of the evening in much approval of the Garden Faithful.
They won Battles, worked hard in the corners, finished their checks, got into fights feeding off their emotions and won a hockey game.
Two more points in the tight Eastern Conference. The Rangers are currently in seventh place only a point out of fifth place. The Rangers continue the struggle Tuesday night against Tampa Bay Lightning in New York.
